Slovenian Judo Federation
The Slovenian judo federation Foundation, established by the Slovenian judo shall be operated exclusively for educational, cultural and charitable purposes relating to Traditional Judo across Slovenia; in particular to carry out the purely educational, cultural and charitable activities promoting Judo.
The educational, cultural and charitable activities of the Slovenian Foundation relate principally to Traditional Judo and include public educational and instructional programs involving research, publications, clinics, tournaments, and the establishment of scholarships.
The foundation focuses on the development of international cultural exchange programs and the training and certifications of judo instructors / leaders and the training to promote Judo For All.
The meaning of judo
Judo is a highly codified sport in which the mind controls the expression of the body and is a sport which contributes to educating individuals.
Beyond competitions and combat, judo involves technical research, practice of katas, self-defense work, physical preparation and sharpening of spirit.
As a discipline derived from ancestral traditions, judo was designed by its Master Founder Kano shihan as an eminently modern and progressive activity.
